Community Play Rangers use the Every Child Matters Outcomes Framework as a guide to help them review the effectiveness of the service and how their work achieves significant improvements in children's lives in relation to the five outcomes identified. Here are some observations from the play rangers and comments from the children.
Being Healthy

Three older children worked in a very focussed way to build a shelter with our tarpaulin
over the swing framework and made a very successful construction.
'The parks a lot better now because its more interesting with the ramps and all that.'
Making A Positive Contribution
'I think we should have a disabled park so that disabled people have something to do.'
One child helped us clear up rubbish in a good den building / tree climbing site to help
improve safety and appearance for future sessions.
Achieving Economic Well Being
Planned ways of raising money for trips; car washing, sponsored events, jumble sales.
Children went carol singing to help pay for Xmas party and theatre tickets.
